Wits Vice-Chancellor Adam Habib says the country needs to explore viable options to help students pay for tertiary education.
Habib was part of a panel discussion on “Fees Must Fall” at the Serious Social Investing conference in Johannesburg this morning.
He says, ideally, taxing the rich would help fund many struggling students, but says this will probably not work.
